GABRIELLE LOVELACE RETURNS WITH “I DON’T REMEMBER LONDON,” SECOND SINGLE FROM UPCOMING EP ON OLD BEAR RECORDS

Rising singer/songwriter Gabrielle Lovelace draws on a distant yet familiar memory in the second single from her upcoming Poetry In Emotion EP. “I Don’t Remember London,” available here, is an ode to the fragments of a childhood experience.

The song was inspired by a trip Lovelace took with her family at just four years old, a journey she vaguely remembers. Returning to London in 2024, she was able to fill in the blanks that had long existed more as a feeling than an actual memory. Her sense of longing comes to life through haunting strings, keys, electric guitar and tolling bells, building into Lovelace’s most ambitious production to date. A carnival-esque music box outro brings the alternative-leaning track to a dreamlike close. “I Don’t Remember London” is a song that transforms nearly forgotten moments into something vivid, atmospheric and deeply personal.

“Since England was a place I had visited when I was very young, but scarcely remembered, I also thought of it as a metaphor; a symbol of longing in my life. I have since returned to London and have fallen in love with the beautiful nuances of the city,” Lovelace explains. “The track that was crafted at the Old Bear studio perfectly encapsulates the wistful yet intense feelings I had while trying to conjure my memories over the years.”

The new single follows the first release from Lovelace’s upcoming EP and offers another glimpse into the sound and storytelling that will define the forthcoming project. As an emerging voice in the singer/songwriter space, Lovelace continues to carve out a distinct musical identity rooted in emotional honesty, vivid imagery and adventurous production.
